In a captivating showdown at the WAFA Park in Sogakope during the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League Week 17, Samartex showcased an impressive display of skill and attack, emerging victorious with a convincing 3-1 win over Accra Lions.

The Friday afternoon clash unfolded with Dauda Yussif Seidu setting the tone for Samartex, finding the back of the net in the eighth minute.

The away side continued to assert their dominance when Baba Hamadu Musa doubled the lead just seven minutes later, establishing a 2-0 lead as both teams headed into the dressing room.

The halftime break witnessed strategic changes from Samartex, with Gyetuah and Ephson stepping in for Darko and Mamah

On the other side, Accra Lions, trailing by two goals, responded with four changes between the 55th and 70th minutes in an effort to shift the momentum.
