Rosa is 14-year-old looking for her forever home who loves joking around and having a fun time. She loves listening to music, playing Skipbo and other card games, and loves to spend time socializing with her peers. Rosa also enjoys attending school, playing soccer and doing crafts.
An ideal family environment for Rosa would be one that can adhere to a set schedule and routine. Rosa would like to be a part of a family that enjoys being active in the community as much as she does. That being said, she also appreciates a relaxing night watching movies or playing games. She does well with pets and would live best with older kids in the home.

Rosa would do well in an urban or rural environment and would do well with any parental configuration. Rosa’s child specific recruiter (CSR) Quinn says, “Rosa is a very friendly and generous person, which makes her vulnerable. Families should have the ability to provide high levels of supervision to ensure her safety. She thrives when someone can provide her with patience, reassurance and consistency.” Rosa can also experience anxiety when trying new things, so her future parents should be willing to push her to try new activities while being supportive and reassuring her.
Rosa has birth family connections that are important to maintain. “Allowing Rosa to talk with her siblings over the phone and providing supervised visits with other family members is important,” says Quinn. Building trust will be important for Rosa. She needs a family that can provide patience and does not raise their voices when getting excited or frustrated. It is also important that Rosa has a family who is willing to support her into adulthood.
“Rosa is a kind and goofy girl who likes to have fun. She has a love for animals and likes to be creative. She longs for a family and a loving home. She is ready to bring laughter and light to someone’s life,” says Quinn.
Details to Note
Due to contracts with the Minnesota Department of Human Services, the cost of adopting a child from Minnesota foster care is virtually free to families.
