Nelly is the man who put St. Louis hip hop on the map. This year, he returned to the spotlight in a very big way. First, there was Nelly getting back with Ashanti, and all of the feels the fans got from seeing them happy together. Also, there was his former group-mate, Ali, calling him out. However, Nelly’s had a successful 2023. But, his former mansion in St. Louis is getting a lot of attention.

Nelly emerged during the summer of 2000 and immediately made history. When his debut album went diamond, he became one of the highest selling rappers of all-time. In 2002, Nelly released two of the most successful hip hop singles of all-time, in “Hot In Herre” and “Dilemma.” After that, he enjoyed a few more years of chart-topping records.

Nelly enjoyed the kind of career that most rappers dream of. Now, two decades later, he’s still making millions from touring and performing these old songs. With a life of him being on the road and doing other things, he no longer primarily stays in St. Louis. As a result, the mansion he used to live in has been vacant for years.
