Currently a foster-only pet adoption rescue, Mountain Pet Rescue will be opening an adoption center on Haywood Road in the former Suntrust building. Still in the early stages of planning, designing, and building, when finished! The MPRA adoption Center will house adoptable puppies, kittens and cats. There will be naming opportunities for the cat rooms and puppy runs as well as the meet and greet areas and beyond. There will also be pet supplies, MPR merchandise and some other pet-friendly goodies for sale.

This is the third location for MPR. The most noted is the Thrift Hound store located at 234 New Leicester Highway, Asheville, NC 28806, where donated items for both pets and people are available for purchase.

MPR’s press release said, “we’re thrilled to add this location to our operations, so we can increase our lifesaving efforts. We could not have done this without your support over the last 5 years. It's going to take a lot of community support to make this dream a reality and will let you know how you can jump in to support this exciting endeavor. MPR promised updates on the progress of the Adoption Center as they move forward.
