I went to the Bahamas for spring break with my parents and it was one of the coolest places I've ever been. I had so much fun and got to see so much while I was there. Be sure to scroll through the whole post to see different photos and videos. It was true paradise and was a dream trip.

The Bahamas is made up of over 700 different islands and each one is unique. We flew into Nassau International Airport to see the Atlantis Resort. If the prices of Atlantis scare you off there are plenty of nearby hotels that are cheap and not far away from Atlantis that get you into Atlantis for free. I stayed at the Comfort Suites Paradise Island, which is one of the hotels that partner with Atlantis. I totally recommend staying there. Atlantis is amazing place with so much to do and see. I would highly recommend you go there.

Day One: After waking up and enjoy a nice breakfast I went to explore Atlantis. It was a little confusing trying to find out how to get into the actual resort but with a little help It is so cool to see in person and is a gorgeous resort. I decided to go to the beach, where The water is pure turquoise, before going to Aquaventure, the waterpark. The Aquaventure is gigantic and has so many waterslides, pools and activities. Since it was so big I got lost... a lot, but thankfully they had plenty of maps scattered over the waterpark. After spending nearly all day at Aquaventure and trying to find our way around the resort, we decided to eat dinner at the Bahamian Club and to walk around the resort in the evening, which is light up and beautiful. (If you are trying to get from the Coral Tower to the Royal Towers at Atlantis, beware of the huge casino located right in the middle of the two towers.)

Day Two: We headed straight to Atlantis to beat the lines for the waterpark in the morning. We basically stayed at Aquaventure for that morning until lunch. (I would recommend going to Aquaventure early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid crowds.) After lunch we headed down to Paradise Beach and saw the Lone Palm, which was a great photo opportunity. We then went back to our hotel and got ready for dinner at Poseidon 's Table, a nice buffet restaurant. After dinner we ate delicious ice cream at Ben and Jerry's.

Day Three: Today was the day we went to the Exumas. The Exumas are a chain of remote islands off of the coast of Nassau. They are famous for being home to iguanas, nurse sharks, stingrays, and the well known swimming pigs. To get to the Exumas from Nassau or any other island, you have to either take a small plane or take a powerboat ride. If you do not plan to stay in the Exumas, than I would recommend taking a day trip there. A great company that takes day trips from Nassau and Paradise Island to the Exumas is Exuma Powerboat Adventure. They are a wonderful company and I had a great experience with them. They picked us up at about 9 am in Paradise Island on a powerboat and took us to Allen's Cay, which is about a hour away from Nassau. The boat ride to get there was spectacular and had amazing views of Nassau and gorgeous turquoise water for miles. Once we arrived in Allen's Cay, we were given grapes on sticks to feed iguanas. You get about 10 minutes to feed the iguanas before getting back on the boat for a quick ride to Ship Channel Cay, where we spent the rest of our day, swimming with the famous pigs, snorkeling, watching a shark feeding show, feeding stingrays, and relaxing on the beach with a nice cold drink and free lunch. Swimming with the pigs was one of the oddest/most interesting experiences I’ve ever had on vacation and I would recommend it for the experience. The whole day was magical and I would totally do it again. You can learn more about the excursion by visiting https://www.powerboatadventures.com/

Day Four: This was our last full day in Nassau. We decided to relax at one of the beaches at Atlantis and to go to Aquaventure one last time. After a long day at Atlantis we ate a wonderful dinner and headed back to our hotel.

The Bahamas was a trip I will never forget and I was able to cross so many things of of my bucket list. If you have any questions about the Bahamas ask me in the comments below or email me. Stay tuned for more adventures in the future! - James
