The Singapore ArtScience Museum offers many interactive activities for everyone and is a must-visit whenever you’re on the island. Among their featured attractions, we opted to try Future World: Where Arts Meets Science for its promising digital art installations–a first in Southeast Asia in collaboration with the acclaimed international art collective, teamLab.

This immersive exhibition is perfect for kids and will pique their curiosity and imagination. But here’s the thing: we may have enjoyed it more if we knew a few things before buying a ticket.

Four things to know before visiting ArtScience Museum.

1. Wear white for better photos! Technically, there are no dress codes (except for wearing covered shoes), but for picture’s sake, it’s best to wear white so you won’t disappear in the background. It was fun to see other guests wearing plain white clothes to catch the exhibit’s lights.

2. Weekends are busy. Weekends are always the busiest, and for a country like Singapore that welcomes thousands of tourists each day, you might want to avoid the peak times to enjoy your visit. If we had an option to do it on another day and time, we would! But thankfully, they have good crowd management and ample time slots so everyone can enjoy.

3. Book ahead. I put off booking a ticket to accommodate flight delays (as we visited on the day we arrived), and missed the slots in Klook. We were happy that they accepted walk-ins at the ArtScience Museum, but we had to wait a while for the admission.

4. Klook has a no-show refund. Building up on point number three, we could booked the tickets ahead and not worry about missing our slot because Klook has a no-show refund! This means we can get our money back if we didn’t make it–no questions asked!
