A Blend of Sound Quality and Room Aesthetics

At Entertainment Pros, we've always believed a quality home entertainment system is a blend of sound quality and room aesthetics. We recently had the privilege of transforming a client's old surround sound system into a stunning 7.2 setup. The client approached us with a system installed by another company. Though functional, the installation's aesthetics were a letdown. Plywood was oddly used as a backing and to mount the left and right speakers - a sight more common in DIY projects. Additionally, the sound quality was subpar due to a misconfigured receiver, and a clutter of improperly managed wires added to the displeasure. Our goal? To revamp and elevate this setup to the Entertainment Pros standard.

Revamping the Core Setup

The first thing we did was to remove the unsightly plywood and take down the LCR speakers, disconnecting all the associated equipment. With the old speakers out of the picture, we seamlessly rehung the TV. The introduction of a BDI USA Audio Video Furniture piece helped hide equipment and open up the room. Inside this furniture, we housed the new Monitor Audio Bronze 100/150 series right, left, and center speakers, Panamax MR4300 power conditioner/surge suppressor, paired with their existing Yamaha RX-V4 receiver, and reset the parameters for better sound quality. We also added a URC MX990 remote and URC MRF350 RF control module for ease of operation and reliability even when you don't have line sight.

Wiring Perfection

A cluttered wire mess is not just an eyesore but can also be a nightmare when servicing equipment. Our team meticulously cleaned up all the wiring, ensuring that every cable was properly managed. By using ties and strategic placements, we ensured the system not only looked neat but would be easy to service in the future.

The Sound Experience

What's a home entertainment system without that deep, resonating bass? To provide a complete surround sound experience, we installed dual SpeakerCraft SDSi Triple 8 subwoofers. Placed strategically to the left and right of the AV furniture, these subwoofers are sure to make every movie night unforgettable. ?

AV Equipment that Looks Good & Sounds Great

For Chip at Entertainment Pros, this installation was a testament to what we stand for - unparalleled aesthetics coupled with superior sound quality. Our client couldn't be happier, remarking, "My wall looks smaller; I think I need a bigger TV." Such feedback is a testament to the transformative power of our installations.
