Namibia Yellow Singer Porsche 911 Is Restomodding At Its Finest

Driving this stunning Porsche 911 restomod is an Ed Punk 4.0-liter engine with individual throttle bodies

Few restomods are as universally praised as those Porsche 911s from Singer so it’s little wonder why customers are willing to wait years to take delivery after locking in an allocation. However, for those who don’t want to wait, a lovely Singer 911 is being sold by Mecum Auctions next month.

This particular 911 is a 1991 Carrera 2 Coupe that has benefitted from the full suite of Singer upgrades. The special touches start with the paint which is dubbed Namibia Yellow which comes complete with ghosted stripes and brown ‘Porsche’ lettering. Like other Singer projects, the fenders, bumpers, hood, rear decklid, and roof are all made from lightweight carbon fiber and the original owner opted for the available fuel filler cap in the center of the hood.

There’s plenty more about this 911 that is bound to get enthusiasts and collectors excited. It sits on a set of stunning 17-inch Fuchs-style forged aluminum wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Then there’s the fact that it is equipped with a howling 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six built by Ed Pink, complete with individual throttle bodies. Mated to this engine is a six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential driving the rear wheels. Other updates include Ohlins shock absorbers and Brembo brakes at all four corners.

The 911’s interior is a true work of art. It is finished primarily in Bone White leather and rocks a set of 4-way adjustable Recaro sports seats with brass ventilation grommets. Singer has also fitted calico floor mats, matte black drilled footboards and pedals, a Porsche Classic head unit, Mono Prototipo steering wheel, and diamond-stitching leather trim across the front compartment.

Mecum Auctions expects the car to sell for between $1.2 million and $1.3 million.
