A shocking incident from Rajasthan has been circulating online lately. In a video, a group of people can be seen thrashing and attacking the driver and occupants of a Mahindra Scorpio at a toll booth. The individuals assaulting the occupants are reportedly toll booth operators. Not only did they thrash the occupants, but they also destroyed the car using bamboo sticks.

The incident took place at a toll plaza in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur. According to online reports, several occupants traveling in a black Mahindra Scorpio SUV were brutally thrashed by toll plaza staff this past Wednesday. Satyanarayan Gurjar, a resident of the Bagdi Police Station area in Pali district, was traveling with friends in the SUV. They had an argument with toll plaza staff at the Jaadan toll booth. After the altercation, the driver continued the journey, but upon reaching the next toll at Khejarli, about 10-12 people awaited their vehicle at the toll booth.

These men were holding bamboo sticks. The car driver was completely unaware of the danger awaiting him. As the car approached the toll plaza, the waiting men began attacking the vehicle with the sticks they held. They pulled the occupants and driver out of the vehicle and started beating them. The circulating video was recorded by someone present at the spot during the incident.

The video shows a group of men vandalizing the SUV with sticks and attacking a person. The man can be heard screaming for help and asking them to stop; however, the employees or the assailants paid no heed. They were hitting the man using their hands and sticks. It was undeniably brutal. The entire incident was recorded by the CCTV installed at the toll booth. The driver of the Mahindra Scorpio, Narayan Lal, is seriously injured in the attack. The victims have already filed a complaint at Luni police station.

Apart from assaulting the occupants in the SUV, the victims also reported that the toll booth operators looted around Rs 2.9 lakh that was kept in the car during the incident. One of the culprits also snatched the gold chain worn by Sathyanarayan. The exact reason behind the whole act is still unknown. A complaint has been registered against Vishnu Maanju, Ravi Babal, Suresh alias Supa, Pradeep, and Rakesh, who likely work at the toll plaza.

The shared video mentions that the cops have arrested four of the accused in this case. The police are searching for the rest, and they are likely to be apprehended soon. The police are currently investigating the matter, reviewing CCTV footage and social media videos to gather more information about the case. This is not the first time, we have seen car drivers and toll plaza staff get into an argument or fight but, this is probably the most violent one that we have seen so far. If you ever find yourself in such a situation, it’s always better to lock the doors of your vehicle and call for help. Inform the police about your location. Engaging with people outside could escalate things rapidly, as in this case. Also, try to avoid confrontations with toll plaza employees while traveling, and exercise patience while driving.
