It is not a surprise that military aircraft take the top places for fastest aircraft. Commercial aircraft have, of course, flown supersonic (and will again soon, hopefully), but this is standard for military aircraft. Sleek fighter jets, reconnaissance, and some experimental aircraft will be the fastest, but several bomber aircraft have reached incredible speeds as well. This article looks at a few of these.
