The role is focussed on supporting our member clubs to increase positive experiences and help them grow and develop.  Your responsibilities will include supporting the delivery of our Jr NBA partnership, coordinating development and education opportunities and providing information and bespoke support to clubs to help them thrive.

The Role 

Build meaningful relationships with clubs to positively influence their ability to deliver fun and engaging basketball in a safe and well-governed environment. The initial focus will be on strengthening the roots of the game, at under-18 and below. The role involves working with other members of the basketballscotland team to build club resilience across a range of areas, including: development of people (coaches, officials, volunteers); building local partnerships; improving on court standards; sustainability; and, club governance.

Responsibilities 

Work with clubs to improve quality, build capacity and develop inclusive opportunities, with a focus on “first experience of basketball”, in particular under 14. Crucial to this is developing rapport with key administrators and coaches within clubs, alongside members of the basketballscotland team. Work with existing club members to strengthen delivery of youth basketball Build relationships with all clubs in the region to facilitate development and improvement specific to individual club requirements Develop and grow the people involved in clubs, creating networks of support for coaches, officials and volunteers
