What skills or lessons have you learned recently?

Ugh! So I had an appointment with the pain doctor in my gastroenterologist’s office.

He seriously spent at least 45 minutes asking me about my childhood.

I felt like I was in a therapist’s office.

I definitely had to hold my tongue.

This is not something I would have done in the past.

I felt like I was in a sparring match with this doctor to see if he could pin my pain on a psychological cause vs a physical one.

It was beyond insulting.

I was so pissed.

I poker faced it through the entire appointment and made it through without taking the bait.

I learned that I could do that.

I didn’t think I could.
