has the second most expensive deed and has the second highest rents and mortgage value. According to an on-line source, it is among the properties landed on the least.

Monopoly Park Place is based on a street in Atlantic City, New Jersey U.S.A. where a plaque stands commemorating Charles Brace Darrow, that created his own version of “The Landlord’s Game”. Darrow’s game didn’t look anything like the version we know today. Though many version of the MONOPOLY game exist, the basic game is still repeated over and over.

Ever wonder what the original Monopoly game looked like when it was patented in 1904? The original inventor was named Lizzie Maggie, and the game was called “The Landlord’s Game”. Charles Brace Darrow, made his own version of the game in 1935, and turned it into the game MONOPOLY that we all know today.

Some sources say that Park Place is a bad investment to purchase because there’s only one other matching color in the group. Did you ever wonder why the Advance to Boardwalk card was in the deck of cards, but not one for every game space? Maybe it was a way to end the game quicker if someone was able to be lucky enough to own a monopoly set. The Monopoly Park Place and Boardwalk require only 2 matching colors to make a “monopoly”. If you can build up the spaces, you are more likely to destroy the competition and end the game sooner. However, players are less likely to land on 2 spaces rather than 3 spaces. You can increase your odds with the other 3 card sets, but can’t collect as much money which is all part of the challenge and strategy of the game.
