I am now quite invested in Lady Worthing's life. I have so many unanswered questions and I am excited to see what happens next!

I particularly like how Riley intertwines the mystery of a playwright's murder with the events in Lady Worthing's personal life. And set against the backdrop of abolition efforts, Murder in Drury Lane kept my heart pounding! The mystery had some great red herrings and then an absolutely satisfying conclusion. The morally gray relationship Lady W has with her neighbor continues along its bumpy road in this second installment in the series, as does Lady W's experience as a mixed-race lady of the ton.

For all the intricacies, complexities, and questions in Murder in Drury Lane, Riley crafts a splendidly tight novel. If you like cozies, historicals, or Regency era, if you like morally gray protagonists or novels that tackle race and gender, then this is a book for you!
