Vermont Flannel -- Made in the USA of organic cotton; super cozy and soft! The post Vermont Flannel: The Softest, Most Comfy Flannel appeared first on Huff Industrial Marketing.
Hand-sewn in the USA Vermont Flannel
As my friend and colleague Ginger Burr of Total Image Consultants says, I wear my clothes until they need replacing and often beyond that. (She says this is a good thing!) My old robe, purchased in 2010 and made somewhere in Asia, definitely needed an upgrade.
After some searching, I found Vermont Flannel. The company makes its robes, pajamas, scarves, shirts and other items of 100% organic cotton. Everything is made in Vermont (of European fabric).
The company has been family-owned and operated since 1991 and has seen its share of ups and downs.
Mark and Linda Baker were told it couldnt be done and that theyd go out of business if they didnt go to China or Mexico. But they stuck with it and as Mark Baker says, Made in USA finally means something. Watch the video for their amazing story!
To date, Ive purchased a robe, pajama bottoms, and a scarf. I love all three pieces and wear them daily. Truth be told, now that its winter and the days are short, I look forward to evening when I can relax with a cup of tea and my flannels and wooly socks. Ahhhhh.
Be sure to review their sizing chart before ordering. The robe is one-size-fits-all but it has generous sleeves and pockets and is well-constructed.

Once you have a Vermont Flannel garment, youll become a fanatical flannel follower too.

My mission is to keep manufacturing jobs stateside and this blog is my way of giving back. We like to think a small choice, such as purchasing something made in the US by American workers, wont make a difference. It does.
