Lufthansa Group Airlines set to resume Tel Aviv flights

The airlines within the Lufthansa Group have outlined plans to recommence their flights to Tel Aviv starting on January 8, 2024. Initially, Lufthansa Airlines is set to provide four weekly departures from Tel Aviv to Frankfurt and three weekly flights to Munich. Meanwhile, Austrian Airlines intends to establish eight weekly connections to Vienna, and SWISS plans to operate five weekly flights from Tel Aviv to Zurich. In this initial phase, the Lufthansa Group airlines aim to offer a total of 20 weekly connections to and from Tel Aviv, equivalent to approximately 30 percent of the regular flight schedule. These services will utilize aircraft from the Airbus A320 family.

The flight schedule provides favorable transfer options for travel between Israel and North America, facilitated through the key hubs of the Lufthansa Group in Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, and Zurich.

Ensuring safety remains a paramount concern for the airlines within the Lufthansa Group. Ongoing vigilance characterizes their monitoring of the security situation in Israel, with continuous communication maintained with both local and international authorities. It is important to note that potential adjustments to the flight schedule may be necessary in response to evolving conditions.

On October 9, 2023, Lufthansa Group Airlines temporarily suspended their regular flights to and from Tel Aviv.
