One of the most outstanding teachers of the 21stcentury,Zig Ziglar, who has written on salesmanship, motivation, and, of course, personal development, once was quoted as saying:
You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.
If you follow or are connected to me on Linked In and this is your invitation to do so you know that I have been harping on setting goals for the past two weeks. I will continue doing so because it is the first step to building a big book of business. You need to know where you want to go in life.
But you also need the right attitude to make sure you get there.
There have been numerous studies about having a positive attitude and success. Google studies on positive thinking being effective, and more than 1.5 billion results are returned.
Its no secret that almost every professional and personal development guru out there repeatedly dwells upon positivity as part of your means to be successful. It is not just woo-woo spirituality but scientific fact.
And even if it were just hokum, what does it hurt to be more positive if it works?
As lawyers, we are really not the most optimistic bunch. There are a whole host of reasons, and without writing too much about it, since much brighter people than I have done so, likeDr. Larry RichardandDr. Martin E.P. Seligman, you can change your attitude.
And when you have to have the right attitude, you can become a great Rainmaker:

Expect to win! Because, as Zig Ziglar has said, you were born to win!
Please forward this to an attorney you know.
