Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) has been named the World’s Leading Cabin Crew at the 2024 World Travel Awards in Madeira, Portugal.

This is the fifth consecutive year that the Brunei flag carrier has won the title.

The award was presented at the Grand Final Gala ceremony at the Savoy Palace, Funchal, Madeira, Portugal on November 24, 2024.

“Our cabin crew are the heart of Royal Brunei Airlines, and this award reflects their exceptional talent, professionalism, and passion,” Royal Brunei Airlines CEO Captain Sabirin Hj Abd Hamid said in a statement.

“Winning the World’s Leading Cabin Crew for the fifth consecutive year is a proud moment for RB and Brunei Darussalam. It is a testament to our commitment to excellence and the sincerity that defines our service. This recognition inspires us to continue delivering heartfelt experiences to our passengers as we strive to uphold our national vision under Wawasan 2035,” Hamid continued.

“This honour belongs to every member of our cabin crew team who works tirelessly to deliver a service that is both world-class and uniquely Bruneian,” said Audrey Keasberry, Royal Brunei’s Manager of Cabin Crew, who accepted the award on the behalf of the airline.

“Winning this award for the fifth consecutive year, a few days after celebrating RB’s 50th Anniversary, is a testament to the sincerity, dedication, and excellence Royal Brunei Airlines stands for. We proudly represent Brunei Darussalam globally, showcasing the best of our nation’s hospitality,” Keasberry added.

Founded in 1974, Royal Brunei Airlines celebrated its 50th anniversary on November 18, 2024. In 2024, the airline announced a fleet renewal with the purchase of four Boeing 787-9 aircraft, and added new destinations such as Chennai International Airport (MAA) and Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport in Balikpapan (BPN) in Indonesia.

RB hosted key events in 2024 including the International Air Transport Association (IATA)  Brunei Sustainable Aviation Fuel Capacity Building Session and the 68th Assembly of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines.
