TRYING TO BE A GOOD CHRISTIAN WOMAN My dear sisters-in-Christ,
As a 74-year-old faith-driven Christian woman, I believe we have a pressing need to offer a prayer to our Lord and Savior for the families and homes we have. Since today is Sunday, the Lord’s Day, I believe this would be the most appropriate time for us to do this.
Lord, Father God,
Thank you for my family.
Forgive us for whenever we complain about when life becomes messy.
Forgive us for whenever we complain about the housework, the dishes, or the laundry.
Remind us that these things are signs of the blessing of life in our homes.
Forgive us whenever we complain about the noise and lack of moments to ourselves.
Because noise is also a sign of life, especially when our children or grandchildren are playing.
Without the noise and the messes, we’d have nothing,
So thank you for our messy, noisy lives.
Amen.
