A rustic looking, shorter robusto sized cigar that felt nice in the hand with it’s box pressed shape.  The pre-light nose had a tangy sweet tone with hay and fruit-like notes, which were more pronounced on the cold-draw flavor.

Once lit, the cigar provided dense and creamy, spicy, full bodied smoke.  A full flavor profile delivered a mix of peppery spices and earthy tones, all of which carried into the aroma.

The spiciness of the cigar balanced well with the other characteristics of the cigar adding another layer of texture and flavor.  The retro hale had a good amount of spice but was tolerable, delivering a lot of black pepper notes.

Medium strength in the beginning gradually built to full – matching the flavor profile and dense texture of the smoke.   This was a rich, hardy, satisfying cigar experience that will leave a lasting impression.

Outstanding construction and very well made.  A great choice to sit back with after a big meal, paired with a favorite drink.
