The day of Thanksgiving is celebrated in the USA on the last Thursday of November. The history of it goes back to English tradition during the 1500s. The pilgrims and puritans brought the tradition here. The first president, George Washington, proclaimed the first Thanksgiving in 1789. It was made a national holiday by Abraham Lincoln in 1863.

#8: God Gave Me You: This song was written & recorded by contemporary Christian artist Dave Barnes. It became a #1 country song when it was recorded by Blake Shelton in 2011. It’s said that this song inspired him to propose to his girlfriend at the time: Miranda Lambert.
#7: Unanswered Prayers: Garth Brooks wrote and recorded this song about a true story that happened to him when he was married to his first wife Sandy. He says “Happiness isn’t getting what you want, but wanting what you’ve got.â€
#6: Thank God: This recent duet by Kane Brown featured his wife Katelyn. At the time, Kane was looking for a duet he could sing with her, and someone on his team came up with this. It’s become a highlight in his shows.
#5: Thank God For You: Sawyer Brown’s lead singer Mark Miller wrote this song in 1993, and it’s one of their most popular songs.
#4: Thank God I’m a Country Boy: A popular song played at sporting events, this John Denver song was released in 1975.
#3: But For The Grace Of God: This was actually Keith Urban’s first #1 song, from 2000.
#2: Blessed: Martina McBride had a huge hit with this in 2001. It was one of the new songs on her first Greatest Hits album. Martina included her two oldest daughters in the video.
#1: Great Day To Be Alive: At the time, it was a very different song for Travis Tritt. It was recorded by several other artists before it became a massive hit for Travis. It’s still one of his most played songs.
