The Paula Carr Diabetes Trust Blog The Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells children’s teams recently held their annual 627 day where children with Type 1 diabetes get together for a fun day filled with games and learning .
Starting a new school can be nerve -wracking for anyone , especially when you are managing your diabetes as well.
The 627 days held across Kent encourage the children to talk to each other about their diabetes and how they manage it , the days bring them together and new friendships are built.
The nurses said the children had a wonderful day and loved the goodie bags – filled with lots of useful items to start their new school.
Good luck to all the children starting their new adventures at secondary school this September.
