Soyang Europe has expanded its direct-to-film (DTF) portfolio with the introduction of a paper-based transfer media designed to offer a more sustainable alternative to traditional PET transfer film.

Soyang DTF Paper is a single-sided release-coated transfer paper with anti-static treatment and a hot-peel release. Designed for use with digital inkjet DTF printers running water-based pigment inks, the material can be recycled through standard paper waste streams, helping print businesses reduce their reliance on plastic-based transfer media.

The company said the new product has been developed to integrate into existing DTF production workflows without requiring changes to equipment or processes. It delivers the same transfer performance and print quality as conventional PET transfer film while offering a paper-based alternative for garment decoration applications.

Soyang DTF Paper is OEKO-TEX certified, confirming it has been independently tested against internationally recognised standards for harmful substances. This provides additional reassurance for businesses producing printed apparel and textile products.

Available in 60cm x 100m rolls, the media is suitable for a range of applications including personalised garments, workwear, sportswear and promotional clothing. Soyang Europe said the product will allow print service providers to respond to increasing customer demand for more environmentally responsible textile decoration without compromising production efficiency.

Oliver Mashiter, sales director at Soyang Europe, said: “Soyang DTF Paper gives our customers greater choice when it comes to DTF production. As businesses look for practical ways to reduce their environmental impact, this paper-based transfer media offers a straightforward alternative to traditional PET film without requiring changes to established production workflows.

“We’re continually investing in innovative materials that respond to changing market requirements. This latest addition strengthens our DTF portfolio and supports customers looking to deliver more sustainable textile decoration solutions while maintaining the high standards of performance their customers expect.”
