On April 25, Joan Osborne will release Dylanology Live via Womanly Hips Records, a collection of eight performances of Bob Dylan originals selected by the Grammy-award-winning vocalist, with featured help on select numbers from Amy Helm, Jackie Greene, and Robert Randolph. As a preview, Osborne shared a psychedelic, blues-leaning rendition of “Highway 61 Revisited.”

Dylanology Live represents the latest chapter in Osborne’s ongoing affinity for the musical bard, which extends back to her 2017 LP,  Songs of Bob Dylan. Following the release of the studio recordings, the songstress has revisited select numbers in a live format, including renditions of “Spanish Harlem Incident,” “Buckets Of Rain,” “Masters Of War,” “Tonight I’ll Be Staying Here With You,” and “High Water (For Charley Patton).”

Osborne has announced concert dates supporting the LP, with special guests Nicki Bluhm, Gail Ann Dorsey (David Bowie), Cindy Cashdollar (Bob Dylan, Van Morrison), and Anders Osborne. The run will begin on May 29 at the United Theater in Westerly, R.I., followed by a night at Adler Hall in New York City.

The tour continues throughout the Northeast into early June, coming to an official close on June 8 after an evening at Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, N.Y. Scroll down to listen to Osborne’s delivery of “Highway 61 Revisited.”
