The beloved CBS sitcom, which ran for nine seasons from 1998 to 2007, remains a comfort show for many and has found new life in syndication and on streaming platforms, thanks in large part to its stellar cast and charm. While several sitcoms from the same era, like Frasierand Will & Grace, have leaned into nostalgia with revivals, star Kevin James recently confirmed that a return to The King of Queens is highly unlikely. As he put it, the show is now missing “the glue” that held it all together. It’s a heartbreaking truth, but one that makes perfect sense.
