The record-breaking release of the first teaser trailer for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping prompted past movies in the blockbuster franchise to witness a sudden viewership spike on iTunes earlier this week. And that's exactly what happened with the first Wicked movie as well some days later, when its sequel, Wicked: For Good, shattered all expectations at the box office. The new film is currently projected to gross around $150 million in its opening weekend at the domestic box office, a jump from the first film's $112 million haul during the same period last year. But thanks to interest in the sequel, audiences are also flocking to Wicked at home. The first movie was essentially among the most-watched titles on the domestic Prime Video charts in the last couple of days, knocking out holdovers such as Playdate and Red One.
