Shia LaBeouf Admits He Drinks Alcohol Daily, Months After Mardi Gras Arrest in New Orleans

New details are coming out, months after Shia LaBeouf‘s arrest.

Back in February, the 40-year-old Transformers actor was arrested and charged with two counts of battery following a fight outside of a bar with two men in New Orleans while in town for Mardi Gras. One of the men also claimed that Shia hurled homophobic slurs at him.

He later appeared in court where he was released on a $100,000 after the judge ordered that Shia enroll in substance abuse treatment and undergo a drug testing program.

Then in June, Shia pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years’ probation. He was also ordered to attend an alcohol treatment class.

According to new court documents published by TMZ on August 19, Shia has been compliant with checking in with his probation supervisor and has provided proof that he will complete anger management and substance abuse treatment by next month.

The docs also state that the Holes actor has denied mental health treatment and self-reported that he drinks alcohol daily.

The next hearing in the case is set for September 23, but there’s a note in the document that Shia will not appear in court because he is shooting a movie.
