This Chocolate Greek Yogurt Fruit Dip is a four-ingredient recipe that takes minutes to make and is a healthy snack that tastes like dessert!
Whether you need a quick summer snack for you and the kids, or need a crowd-pleasing dip for your fruit platter, this homemade fruit dip is the recipe for you. This is the best way to enjoy your favorite fruit and satisfy your sweet tooth at the same time.
Because we’re using Greek yogurt instead of cream cheese and/or marshmallow fluff for the base of our fruit dip, we get almost 5 grams of protein per serving. Pairing fruit with a dip that has a balanced amount of protein and fat helps keep our blood sugar stable and is a smart way to snack.
Recipe Ingredients–What You Need
What’s better than a recipe that just uses four simple ingredients?
Nonfat Greek yogurt (plain)–This provides a creamy base for the dip that also gives us a nice boost of protein. Use plain yogurt so there’s no added sugar.
Almond butter or peanut butter–Almond butter adds flavor, fat, and a thicker texture to our dip. Peanut butter can also be used, or for a nut-free dip, try sunflower seed butter.
Honey–Honey gives us a natural sweetness. Pure maple syrup can also be used.
Unsweetened cocoa powder–Cocoa powder makes this a chocolate dip! I sift it first to make a smoother result.

Recipe Variations
Here are some ideas on how you can adapt this recipe based on your needs.
Nut-free option: You can use sunflower seed butter to make this nut-free. You can also just leave out the nut butter altogether. The result will be a lighter, less rich dip, but still delicious.
Dairy-free option: If you can find a plain, non-dairy Greek-style yogurt, use that for dairy-free. Also try this Brownie Batter Dessert Hummus recipefor a dairy-free fruit dip.
Sugar-free option: If you’d like this without the added sugar that comes from the honey, omit the honey and cocoa powder, and use a stevia-sweetened chocolate protein powder. Start with 2 tablespoons and then test to see how much is needed to reach the desired consistency.
Vanilla option: If you’d like a vanilla rather than chocolate version of this yogurt fruit dip, omit the cocoa powder and add 3/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.
Strawberry option: For a strawberry version, omit the cocoa powder and replace it with 1/4 cup blended freeze-dried strawberries.
