The Soil and the Soul – Mad Agriculture – RC Carter, manages a large operation near Ten Sleep, WY. His focus is on grass-fed beef production, and he sees his soil as a microscope into seeing the truth – what is healthy, and what’s not. The land was stewarded by massive herds of bison, but after cattle and sheep herding took over, without proper rest periods for the land, it became severely degraded. Today, Carter sees solutions in addressing water accessibility and regenerative grazing to heal the land while ensuring his cattle business remains profitable and provides healthy food for people.
