Natasha Rocca Devine wins style prize at the Dublin Horse Show in her mum’s very famous hat

Best Dressed at the Dublin Horse Show was a day out to remember for Natasha Rocca Devine, who went home with one of the style prizes.

Natasha scooped the Irish Heritage & Sustainability Style Award sponsored by Jack Murphy on Thursday for her classy cream ensemble, which had lots of sentimental touches.

As it turns out, Natasha’s dress was her grandmother’s and has been worn by three generations of her family, and her hat is quite the famous piece.

Chatting on stage after receiving her prize, a €1,500 voucher to heritage brand Jack Murphy, Natasha explained how she found the dress when clearing out her grandparents' house, which was an ‘emotional’ day.

‘My mum [Michelle Rocca] also wore it at Ladies Day and my grandmother, so three generations [have worn this dress],’ she added.

Natasha then explained the story behind her hat. She said: ‘My mom is very low key, but unfortunately today it’s not going to happen, so this hat is worn on the cover of my stepdad; they’re separated now, but Van Morrison’s No Prima Donna album.

‘My mom is always very much about being individual, but today she said “I think you’re strong enough in your own right to wear it in your own way” and obviously it stood out.’

She continued: ‘Van and mum did this huge shoot with lots of outfits, and Van chose the photo of my mom laughing with this hat on, which was iconic around the world, and it made my mom and Van very well known together; it was a statement piece.

‘It’s Irish, for me it’s a generational thing, and I think after today she’s going to give it to me to give to my daughter.’

MC Laura Woods couldn’t help but laugh as she told Natasha ‘she’ll have to now!’ which got a big laugh from the crowd.

475 ladies registered to take part in the Best Dressed competition at the Dublin Horse Show in 2026, but it was Pamela Ryan who was crowned the winner.

Pamela impressed in her cream and orange patterned two-piece with a structured ruffled top which she styled with a stand-out gold headpiece.

The stylish lady, who was also crowned Best Dressed at the Curragh in May, was stunned to have been crowned the winner, telling host Laura Woods that she was 'in shock' and 'can't believe it' as she took to the stage.

As for her outfit details, Pamela's set and headpiece are from CompleteLook.ie in Galway, while her shoes were a fabulous find in a charity shop.

Making her win even more memorable, Pamela's outfit almost didn't make it to the Dublin Horse Show! Early on Thursday morning, she was knocking on the door of her local An Post depot trying to track down her outfit.

Luckily, Pamela located her outfit, and she managed to make it to the RDS in time to take part in the style competition.
