Have you ever snuck away to a hiding place to knit, dear reader? The carâŠthe craft closetâŠmaybe even the bathroom? When my kids were small, I would make deals with myself. Iâd allow myself to knit after all the laundry was done (but is laundry really ever done???) or if I got the kids in bed by 8 (but then I was so exhausted, I often fell asleep before I could finish a row!)Why do we do these things? And what will it take for the makers of the world - especially women - to prioritize our making as the superpower and necessary self-care it truly is?

Hi, my name is Shelley and I have a rose gold Joji bag obsession đââïžThe first time I laid eyes on the oh-so-subtle shimmer of Joji + Coâs rose gold Argentine leather, I was smitten. The way it seems to have a glow from within, feels like there must be something magical inside. And then when I added one (or twoâŠ) to my collection, I was even more obsessed - with the quality, the endurance and (dare I admit) that amazing smell. So when the Joji folks agreed to make their famous Envelope Bag in rose gold with a special logo emboss just for usâŠwell my collection just got even better! We have 50 of these beautiful, hand-made project bags to offer, each with the matching strap included, so you can carry it either as a clutch or a crossbody bag. It can hold comfortably any 3-4 skein project. One thing I really love is the bag doesnât have a top closure to catch on my yarn. Instead, it folds down and is kept closed with a leather strap and clasp. And the strap is beautifully embossed to show all the world youâre a Knit Star! And because I believe every project bag deserves a gorgeous project, weâre offering the option for you to order your bag bundled with a 1-skein Joji project, ready to go!If you choose the bag + project bundle, youâll get a skein of Spun Right Round sock yarn in colorway âTopcoat Candyâ to make Jojiâs design, âThe Lone Skein Shawl.â Weâll gift you the pattern pdf (and ensure Joji gets the sales proceeds through Ravelryâs LYS program). The Lone Skein Shawl alternates bands of slipped stitches, garter stitches and short rows. Suitable for advanced beginners or anyone looking for a beautiful, satisfying knit! Youâll need #7 US needles.Buy the Rose Gold Envelope Bag here.Buy the Bag + Project Bundle here.

Roasted Cod with Cashew Coconut Lime Topping
Iâve always been a fish lover, but ever since I moved to Florida Iâve become a bit of a fanatic. After living in land-locked Oklahoma all those years, to have access to fish that was in the ocean this morning is so amazing. But Iâm mindful of all those years of less accessible seafood access, so I was especially excited to find this recipe that uses cod - a delicious, firm white fish thatâs readily available at most groceries across the US. And bonus, itâs usually quite affordable compared to other fish.On top of all thatâŠI think this simple, Caribbean-inspired dish from Valerie Bertinelli via the Food Network might be my absolute favorite fish recipe, ever. The coconut-cashew-lime-cilantro topping combines all of my favorite flavors but doesnât compete with the flavor of the fish. Try it tonight with any firm white fish (we used Scamp, my favorite local variety of grouper).Topping
3/4 cup roasted salted cashews, finely chopped
3/4 cup unsweetened flaked coconutÂ
2 teaspoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon curry powderÂ
1/4 teaspoon kosher saltÂ
2 teaspoons finely grated lime zestÂ
3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantroÂ
FIsh
 Olive oil, for the pan
2 pounds skinless cod fillet, cut into 4 evenly-sized piecesÂ
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepperÂ
1 teaspoon ground corianderÂ
1/2 teaspoon curry powderÂ
Lime wedges, for servingÂ
Instructions
For the topping: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
Toss the cashews and coconut with the oil, curry powder and salt in the baking pan. Bake, stirring once or twice, until the coconut is golden brown, about 5 minutes (be careful, it can burn quickly towards the end). Stir in the lime zest and cool completely. Transfer to a bowl and stir in the cilantro.
For the fish: Increase the oven temperature to 425 degrees F and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
Drizzle the parchment with olive oil and place the fish on top. Sprinkle all over with salt and pepper, turning the fillets to coat them with the oil. Sprinkle the top of the fish with the coriander and curry powder, then roast until the cod is just cooked through and flakes apart easily, 12 to 15 minutes.
Serve the fish with the cashew coconut topping and lime wedges on the side.
