You Can Now Skip Traffic And Take A Ferry From Beirut To Batroun

Weekend trips to Batroun just got a whole lot more scenic.

Starting this weekend, you can swap Lebanon’s busy coastal highway for the Mediterranean, thanks to a new ferry route connecting St. George/Zaitunay Bay in Beirut to Batroun Port.

The service, operated by Cedar Waves, will run every Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer. The same company that launched international ferry routes from Jounieh Port.

The schedule is as follows, giving you a full day to enjoy one of Lebanon’s favorite summer destinations:

Fridays: Departure: 10 am | Return: 6 pm

Saturdays: Departure: 10 am and 6 pm | Return: 4 pm and 1 am

Sundays: Departure: 10 am | Return: 6 pm

Departures are from Beirut, and returns are from Batroun

The one-way trip takes around an hour. Tickets cost $20 one-way or $40 round trip, and you can get them here.

While you may question the price, it’s important to point out that the experience isn’t just about getting from A to B. It’s about avoiding weekend traffic, saving yourself the stress of driving, dealing with parking/valet, and more importantly, enjoying the sea views along the way.
