Northfall by Brian Lutterman

Northfall by Brian Lutterman

Northfall by Brian Lutterman  A Pen Wilkinson Thriller *****Review by Sandy Penny, Sweet Mystery Books I love this series about a woman who is a paraplegic attorney, sometimes investigator, and in a wheelchair, who can't resist a good mystery. She's a bit obsessive once she gets her teeth into an investigation. This time, when a man in a wheelchair who lives on the streets is killed, and his mentally challenged girlfriend is left alone on the streets, she is drawn into the mystery that somehow connects to a missing billionaire. She has to find him to get the answers she needs. This is a complicated and dangerous investigation that no one seems to support her pursuing, but that never stops Pen. Sometimes too smart for her own good, she faces death once again. Will she survive her own obsessions? So many opportunities for her to be killed. So many opportunities for her to prove herself to herself.  I like the series a lot. She's a bit foolhardy in not making sure she has some kind of backup, but it's always a wild ride in her wheelchair-accessible van. I'm hooked. I'm addicted.  This is book number 5 in the series, and I've read them all and recommend them all.  1. Downfall | 2. Windfall | 3. Freefall | 4. Nightfall | 5. Northfall.  Click for Brian Lutterman's Amazon Author Page with all his books listed.
