Hinsdale police chief retires; Officer off the force after fatal incident in January

In the wake of the officer involved shooting that led to the death of 27-year-old Biagio Kauvil, the town’s police chief has submitted a letter of intent to retire. On Wednesday, the board approved that retirement. According to officials, the sergeant who responded to the mental health call that led to Biagio's death, is back on the force, and the officer who shot that fatal bullet, will not be returning.
