WASHINGTON – In response to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson delaying a vote on the bipartisan ACA discharge petition, MoveOn Civic Action’s Chief Communications Officer Joel Payne released the following statement: 

“No ACA vote, no vacation. Thanks to millions of calls, texts, and emails from the grassroots, lawmakers from both parties are ready to vote to extend ACA subsidies and prevent health care premiums from doubling for millions of Americans. Let’s be clear: it is the Republican Party’s continued inaction that has left our health care system in crisis. MoveOn members will not back down and will keep pushing lawmakers to act and protect Americans from higher costs.”
