Stamp Swap Sew Along - July 2025

Sew Along from Tuesday 1st July - Wednesday 8th July 2025! Last year I started a trend at the Festival of Quilts, where quilters made fabric stamps and we all met up and swapped them. The participation was INSANE as so many people from all over the world came to swap their fabric stamps! This year we are doing it all again! There’s going to be swap EVERY DAY of the Festival, so no one attending misses out :-) To help with stamp organisation, I’ve designed the Stamp Swap Station. It features 2 pockets, one for stamps to swap, and one for stamps to receive, plus a handy ‘table’ in the middle’ so that you can lay out some stamps for your swap partner to see. Then it folds up neatly to carry home. Everyone needs one! Let’s all stitch them together during the sew-along. So how does the sew-along work? Each day there will be a prompt on Instagram, with information on which part of the station we’re making that day. There will also be tips, and the opportunity to ask questions. Once you’ve made that part of the station, post a photo (or video) on Instagram and tag me @sarahashfordstudio and use the hashtag #sarahashfordstudio so that I can see progress. Comment and like other quilter’s posts to share the love and encouragement! Post every day if you can, but to be in with a chance to win a prize, you will need to post at least 5 times throughout the sew-along, including on the final day, when you post your finished Station. The most important thing however, is to have fun! As I always say, there are no sewing police; use fabrics and colours that bring you joy, and let’s be joyful together :-) We kick things off on Tuesday 1st July so get your supplies ready! You need to post about making your Station at least 5 times on Instagram throughout the sew-along to be in with a chance of winning a prize. There is a prompt each day, so aim to post that day about your progress, but it doesn't matter if you don't, you can still play 'catch up' and post on subsequent days. Your 'finished' photo post must be on Instagram by midnight BST on Wednesday 9th July 2025 at the very latest for a chance to win a prize, with the winners being announced on Friday 11th July 2025. The sew-along and prizes are in no way sponsored or endorsed by Instagram. Oh and you will also need to make some fabric stamps to swap!
