STM Goods ChargeTree GO

This is the Charge Tree Go portable wireless charging station from STM Goods. It comes in two colours, either black or white, and it’s available online for as little as £35 here in the UK. 

It’s a 3 in 1 charging dock that will charge your iPhone, your AirPods and your Apple Watch, simultaneously or individually. You can choose to put just your phone on the dock and it will charge, or perhaps your AirPods need charging, just put those on instead. Charging is wireless via Qi-certified coils that charge any or all of your devices, and all you need to do is plug the dock into your nearby plug socket. A 1m long USB-C cable is provided in the box, but you will need to find your own plug adapter, or perhaps your wall socket has a USB port built into it. 

Your phone sits securely at the front, while your AirPods sit behind at the back. Your watch, well, that connects via a spring-loaded pop-out from the side. Push the watch charging point in, and it will pop out, then put your watch into position. There is a rubber section to the front, where your phone will sit, and another at the rear for your AirPods, providing a non-split surface for both. Your watch strap can be done up and looped around the pop out section, and as it’s magnetic, it holds it in place well. When you’re done charging, you can push the watch charging point back into place, then easily fold the whole thing in half, making it easy to store and take around with you on your travels. They even provide a carry bag to store it in. 

Charging times are good, and given that it can charge all three items at once, even better. Depending on the power brick you use to power this, you can achieve upto 3watts of power output to the watch, 5watts to the AirPods and between 7.5 and 15watts to your phone. The speed of charge varies depending on your device on the dock, but for me, the results are positive. I would see my phone charge relatively quickly, although alternative solutions have been faster. 

If you’re looking for an all-in-one solution for your Apple products, you can’t really go wrong with the Chargetree Go. It may not be the quickest, but it will charge all your devices at once, and it will save you from taking & using multiple plugs and cables.
