Spotify’s Running Mode Comes to Android

Spotify is ready to bring its relatively new Running Mode to Android in select markets, which does include the US.

The new markets are the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden. When activated, you can choose from one of 25 running presets or make up your own (interval, steady, pyramid). Your run can also be determined by BPM or the type of music you select. Once you press play, the app will guide your run with music tailored specifically to the workout.

The music will match your pace and selected tempo, then “seamlessly move through tracks for a more fluid, motivating soundtrack.”  Running Mode also includes audio cues in English to help guide you should you need them.

Running Mode is rolling out right now.
