Alysia + Chance The post Fall Rocky Mountain National Park Elopement appeared first on Utah Wedding Photographers | Jessie and Dallin.
Alysia and Chance’s love story didn’t follow a straight line—it took the scenic route, filled with unexpected twists and turns that led them right back to each other and eventually to their fall Rocky Mountain National Park elopement.
They first met in high school, a simple peer-to-peer connection. Alysia needed help mastering the art of weaving through cones for her driver’s test, and Chance stepped up to the challenge. After that brief chapter, life pulled them in different directions. But fate had other plans. Nearly a decade later, in 2012, their paths crossed again. A few weeks of texting led to a February date, and that’s when their real story began. Two hearts, perfectly mismatched in all the right ways, finding balance in each other.
The Elopement Day Begins
Their fall Rocky Mountain National Park elopement was the perfect reflection of their journey—authentic, heartfelt, and unapologetically them. They got ready separately at a cozy lodge, nerves buzzing with anticipation. But the moment they saw each other for their first look, it was like the world hit pause. The tension melted away, replaced by pure, unfiltered joy. The look on Chance’s face said it all—a mix of awe and adoration as he saw Alysia!
From there, we made our way to Chapel on the Rock, just a few miles away. This historic spot wasn’t just a beautiful backdrop; it held deep meaning for them, reflecting the role faith plays in their lives. Their officiant, Joe, brought their love story to life with heartfelt anecdotes that had us laughing through tears. It was a ceremony woven with emotion, laughter, and the kind of moments that stick with you long after the vows are spoken.
Dinner, Sunset, and Smores
After the ceremony, we ventured to Ember Restaurant in Estes Park for an intimate dinner. No guest lists to manage, no schedules to chase—just Alysia and Chance, savoring every bite, every glance, every quiet moment together. That’s the magic of eloping: the freedom to make your day truly your own!
But the adventure didn’t stop there. As the sun began its descent, we headed into Rocky Mountain National Park. The landscape unfolded like a masterpiece—golden aspen trees, towering pines, sights of deer and elk, and views that stretched beyond the horizon. At 10,759 feet, the tundra greeted us with sweeping winds, adding wild, untamed energy to the scene. Then came the grand finale: a sunset so breathtaking, it felt like the sky was celebrating with them, painting the clouds in hues of pink, purple, orange, and gold.
We wrapped up their day around a crackling fire pit at a campground within the park. Under the cloudy night sky, Alysia and Chance shared s’mores and their first dance as a married couple—just the two of them, lost in the moment, with the flicker of flames and the whisper of the wind as their soundtrack.
