Left-wing presidential contender Jeannette Jara opened Chile’s run-off campaign with sharp attacks on far-right rival José Antonio Kast, calling him an “authoritarian” with little to show for his years in Congress. The December 14 vote is expected to favour Kast, even after Jara narrowly led the first round.
