Tinubu arrives Kigali for Africa CEO Forum

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 13th edition of the Africa CEO Forum scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 14.

Tinubu was received at the Presidential Wing of the Kigali International Airport by Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu, and Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda.

Also at the airport to receive the President were the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole; the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed; the Nigerian Chargé d’Affaires in Rwanda, Ambassador Ibrahim Zanna; and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Dare.

The Africa CEO Forum, founded in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation, has grown into the continent’s largest annual gathering of private sector leaders, investors and policymakers.

The forum focuses on accelerating Africa’s economic transformation through regional integration, shared scale and increased cross-border investment.

This year’s edition is themed: “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”

At the summit, President Tinubu is expected to speak on the topic, “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will highlight the gains of Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms and the importance of sustaining them despite global economic uncertainties.

The President is also scheduled to hold high-level bilateral meetings with leading African and global business executives as part of efforts to deepen investment partnerships and strengthen Nigeria’s economic ties across the continent.

According to statement, Tinubu will use the forum to reaffirm Nigeria’s commitment to African unity, regional economic cooperation and strategic partnerships aimed at driving private sector-led sustainable development across Africa.
