She tackles the tough subjects of religion, loss, and love with a razor sharp pen and an angelic voice.

The Nashville, Tennessee-based singer-songwriter has released seven singles since dropping her debut. She has connected with fans around the world on popular tracks like the live solo acoustic “Stars and Stripes”, released in August 2023. Julie Lavery recently headed back to the studio to record her follow-up.

“Dr. Doctor” is the brand new single from Julie Lavery, released worldwide via all major streaming services on November 10, 2023. An ensemble of bass, drums, guitars, and keys opens the tune on a melancholy downtempo alt-country groove as the singer steps to the mic. In a dreamy alto, she offers an introspective tale of uncertainty and anxiety, told from a therapist’s couch, and inspired by the loneliness and isolation of the pandemic.
