We first heard from Hal Savar in June, upon the release of his single “Melt Away“. That track introduced The Static Dive readers to a 20-year Vegas veteran singer, songwriter and guitarist who launched a new solo recording project in 2022. You can read our interview with Hal here.

The Philadelphia native is known for his powerful raspy vocals, percussive guitar style, and a knack for writing genre-bending and infectiously catchy original songs. Since his debut a year ago, the prolific performer has released eight singles. Hal Savar has connected with fans around the world on popular tracks like “Next Year” and “Heaven”.

“Nevada to Mississippi” is the brand new single from Hal Savar, released worldwide via all major streaming services on December 22, 2023. Joining the singer on his first ever songwriting collaboration is Las Vegas native singer-songwriter Emily Stinnett. A track opens on the strum of an acoustic guitar. Emily steps to the mic as a full country ensemble slides into the mix. The two singers trade verses, as two lovers separated by distance and circumstance, in this tearjerker torch song duet.

Check out “Nevada to Mississippi” below. You can also hear the song on the Deep Dive : Pop & Rock playlist, listen on your favorite streaming service. Follow the links below to connect with Hal Savar.
