Air New Zealand Makes Changes to Summer 2024 Schedule

AUCKLAND- Earlier this month, Air New Zealand (NZ) submitted specific changes to its international services for the upcoming Northern Summer 2024 season, set to take effect on March 31, 2024.

The outlined adjustments in planned services are as follows, based on information available as of December 26, 2023.

Air New Zealand Summer Schedule

Auckland – Chicago O’Hare will see a reduction in frequency from 3 to 2 weekly during the following periods: May 23, 2024, to June 19, 2024, and August 24, 2024, to September 27, 2024, with the use of 787-9 aircraft.

For Auckland – Denpasar, there will be a reduction from 7 weekly to the following schedule with 787-9:

May 7, 2024, to June 3, 2024: 5 weekly September 5, 2024, to September 28, 2024: 6 weekly

Auckland – Los Angeles will experience a decrease from 10 weekly to the following schedule with 777-300ER:

April 29, 2024, to May 31, 2024: 7 weekly June 1, 2024, to June 22, 2024: 9 weekly

Auckland – Nadi will have a 777-300ER operating 1-2 weekly round-trips starting from May 2, 2024.

Auckland – Niue will see an increase from the previously filed 1 weekly to 2 weekly flights, utilizing A320neo aircraft, starting from April 2, 2024.

For Auckland – Papeete, a 3rd weekly flight will operate during the following periods with 787-9 aircraft: April 1, 2024, to May 6, 2024, and June 26, 2024, to August 19, 2024.

Auckland – Vancouver will experience a reduction from 7 to 6 weekly flights during the following periods: May 7, 2024, to June 24, 2024, and August 13, 2024, to September 21, 2024. As previously reported, a 777-300ER will operate on 2 of the 6 weekly flights instead of the previously scheduled 787-9 from August 23, 2024, to September 29, 2024.

Other Updates

Auckland – Hobart will be temporarily suspended from April 5, 2024, to October 26, 2024. Service will resume with 3 weekly A320neo flights, increasing to 2 weekly from May 9, 2024.

Auckland – Seoul Incheon is temporarily suspended from April 1, 2024, to October 26, 2024, with regular 3 weekly 787-9 flights.

Auckland – Singapore, with flight numbers NZ284/283 starting March 31, 2024, will see a replacement of the 787-9 with a 777-300ER, except on selected dates. On the following dates, NZ282/281 will also have a 777-300ER instead of the 787-9:

April 3, 2024 April 9, 2024, to April 30, 2024, on Day 2 (Day 3 from SIN) May 25, 2024 (May 26, 2024, from SIN) June 9, 2024, to June 18, 2024, on Day x456 (Day x567 from SIN until June 19, 2024) June 25, 2024, to September 24, 2024, on Day 2 (Day 3 from SIN) September 25, 2024 (September 26, 2024, from SIN) October 1, 2024, to October 23, 2024, on Day 23
