ACMI provider SmartLynx Airlines has ended 2023 on a successful note with a record number of operated flights in it’s history.

The Latvia-based carrier has been very busy this year, and with that level of demand, has seen very steady expansion.

Without further ado, let’s get into it…

SmartLynx Airlines Ends 2023 On A Successful Note…

SmartLynx Airlines increased it’s fleet from 49 to 67 aircraft over the course of this year, which includes their first Boeing 737 MAX 8 (See picture above).

Because of this, the carrier was able to operate 48% more flights than the year before, handling a staggering 6.5m passengers.

SmartLynx Airlines CEO Žygimantas?Surintas had this to say on what has been a successful year for the carrier:

“Although full of challenges, overall, this year was a very successful one for the airline. We will not become complacent because, as our results improve, our goals are becoming more ambitious than ever.”

“This year, we made our first flights for an Indian airline, and we can see great potential for growth there, as well as in the Middle East and North America.”

“Our customers value the quality and stability of SmartLynx services, which is why 100% of our passenger aircraft fleet and service resources are already almost fully booked for the next year’s flights.”

“In response to market demand, next year we will continue investing heavily in increasing the airline’s fleet and aircraft crew capacity”.

All eyes will be on how 2024 will look like for the ACMI carrier going into the future.
