Hey folks, just a few small updates and things to announce.
- A kind reader recently asked about RSS feeds to the blog. If subscribing by email is a hassle, you’re welcome to follow the RSS feed URL instead:
https://nembutsu.cc/feed
Thanks “C” for this find. I confess I never knew it was there.
- I am experimenting with some changes in flow and scheduling. The blog feedback was very helpful in that most people were interested in a slower pace, but also weren’t too concerned about a set weekly schedule. Since I tend to write in batches (hence the weird bursts of blog activity, then silence) I might try a few ways to find a balance between frequency and quality of content. If you have any thoughts, feel free to drop a note in the questions page too. I read those regularly.
- The Japanese semi-annual holiday of Ohigan is coming up, as well as Otsukimi. So, as the weather cools down a bit (thanks Climate Change
), hopefully you can rest a bit, enjoy a renewed Buddhist practice, and maybe also enjoy some moon-viewing too. Also Chinese moon-cakes are awesome if you can find them. - I will be at the Rinkaian Otsutome service this coming Sunday (the 20th, US time), in the Session B block (North America). Hope to see you there.
- Finally, the season for Autumn Nanakusa is here. Do you have any of these plants in your area?
