When I am an old man, I will still be me.

I will behold beauty,

of the world.

I will weep for those torn apart by the fangs of grief,

yet also giggle with babies.

When I am old, I will wear blue,

colour of the ocean,

            Its lover a summer sky.

Blue calms me.

I will wipe away tears,

like I have done for years,

this is what a father does.

When I am old,

I will breathe in tender kisses,

            hugs from my grandchildren

I will smooch my wife,

like the taste of candy.

We will hug into our sunset,

As twilight beckons,

thank God for our years together.
