Update 11/19/25: Brendan Fraser has officially confirmed his involvement in a fourth 'The Mummy' film. Fraser told AP reporter Jake Coyle "the one I wanted to make is forthcoming. And I’ve been waiting 20 years for this... It’s time to give the fans what they want."
Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are said to be in early talks to reprise their roles as Rick and Evie O’Connell in a fourth Mummy movie for Universal. Nothing is locked in yet, but reports do seem to be indicating that the pair will indeed be coming back. What’s more is that the directing duo known as Radio Silence, otherwise known as Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, is perhaps best known for Scream (2022), Scream VI, and Ready or Not. The film will be produced by Universal and Project X Entertainment, and David Coggeshall (Deliverance) is tapped to pen the script. It should be noted that Universal has not commented on the story, which was originally broken by Deadline and picked up by the other trades, such as THR, with additional details, so all this could be a nothingburger.
