Gamers have had plenty of projects to enjoy so far in 2026, and there’s even more on the horizon to be excited about in the final half of the year. One of the first big releases to capture the hearts of fans was the ambitious RPG, Crimson Desert, hailing from developer Pearl Abyss. Following not long after Crimson Desert was the new James Bond game from IO Interactive, 007 First Light, which sold over three million copies during its first few weeks after launch. More recently, Assassin’s Creed fans have been enjoying the Resynced version of Black Flag, which is widely hailed as one of the best Assassin’s Creed games ever made. Closing out 2026 are a pair of massive releases, Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac and Grand Theft Auto 6 from Rockstar Games.
