Julia Roberts Releases Statement on ‘Steel Magnolias’ Co-Star Dolly Parton’s Death

Julia Roberts is mourning the loss of Dolly Parton.

If you did not see today’s news, the country music legend passed away at the age of 80.

Julia and Dolly co-starred in the iconic 1989 film Steel Magnolias. The beloved hit movie also starred Sally Field, Shirley MacLaine, and Daryl Hannah.

Julia Roberts released a statement after the death of Dolly Parton

“Dolly was a magical and joyous human. I hold knowing her as a treasure in my life. The sun has dimmed today,” Julia told Page Six.

Sally Field also posted a statement

“If there are truly angels on earth, then we have just lost one. Dolly Parton. There will never be another. I adored her with all my heart and will always cherish our time together. Forever. Rest in peace beautiful Dolly,” she wrote. She included a throwback image of the cast together
